| For the fourth a group of us went to go see fireworks from a friends house. He has such a great view. That night his family and some of our friends showed up and we admired the fireworks. It lasted for a couple hours, but it felt like time passed in a matter of moments.
Fireworks come and go, but a love that fears the lord lasts forever.
Don't chase fireworks, work for a log fire.
| Isaiah 1:16 & 17
16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean: Put away the evil of your doing before my eyes. Cease to do evil.
17 Learn to do good: seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.
Rhema – God is so good. He calls the dirty to repentance and to cease from all their evil. But it doesn’t stop there. God doesn’t want his people to wait to become priests and saints and pastors and shepherds. He gives specific direction to us the ones who accept his plan of Salvation.
Reflection – God’s plan is for everyone to be involved, there are no box seats in Christianity. Here is what you do. 1. Learn – For lack of knowledge Gods people are destroyed. Read your bible, it’s so poetic, inspiring, and lovely. 2. Seek Justice – this world hurts, and many times we pass the hurt along the way, Justice is stopping and helping, yes it might be socialist, but our hearts motives are not political they are motivated of God (rebuke the oppressor). 3.Defend the fatherless – God is a father and his heart goes out to those who don’t have a father, whose arms can they crawl in at night? Who can or will protect them? If Christ is your role model, you will be a father or mother to a fatherless generation. It’s the father who instills the morals in their children.
Motivation – God goes on to say, come now let us reason together…. He is not unreasonable. These simple steps applied in our life will the works to our faith. The clothes to our confession, Lets not walk around with naked confessions. Do something!!!
Application – Cease evil. Learn Good, Gods heart is for the poor and oppressed and fatherless, care for them please. In Jesus Name.

| Dear Xanga,
How are you? Me....Im fine. What's going on in your world? I just got done with youth camp and it was amazing, I praise God he allows me to take the stage with one of the best worship bands in the world. It so worth it....Today Sam asked me to hang a curtain in the main sanctuary. This thing was super heavy and needed to be hung twenty to twenty five feet off the ground. He told me to get a ladder and drag it up there. I looked at him and was like ok....but in my heart I was praying to God....don't let this ladder break. After a few minutes of planning and prep, a few band members and I hung the whole thing. That was something I never done before, it was kinda scary but when it was over I felt like I could confidently do it again. Sunday morning service was amazing, Pastor Steve gave a good word about what you think you are, you are. I felt I was capable to do what Sam asked me to do, I didnt hide in fear or make excuses, although i felt i could, Thats why God gives us a helmet of Salvation. He wants only the confident thoughts of I can to be in our heads. God is so real.....Yes he gives us his spirit that is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience and Self-Controll, but we are not zombies to his spirit and need armor to gear up to fight for ourselves. I love so dearly all the friends God has so blessed me with, But it definitely saddens my heart to see them lay down there armor, to ignore the voice of hope, love, righteousness and self-controll and think they can't. Phil 4:13 says we can do all things through christ. If my math is correct, nothing should hold us back down, but some where in the equation of life, people are being intimidated by the heights which they can soar, its tough to leave home, its tough to leave habits, its tough to leave the ground on which you stand and dream of flying....But its even harder to stand before God and see all the things you could have done, all the people you could have helped and all the miracles you could have held and know you never reached for them. If you see me ask me about Carlos....I dont really have time to talk about him or the situation now, but if you are interested please do. I love you.
Love, Nick Gal 5:6 nothing else matters except a faith that produces love...
| Dear Xanga,
How are you? Im good, I wanted to apologize again for the silly posts as of late, I promise Il'l turn it down. I just got done watching Casino Royal. Good Flick.
Today it rained like Mad!!! It was fun, but definitively powerful. Its cool to watch the storm form the inside, but to be in the middle of it would be mad. Its amazing how when we are in the middle of a storm, it seems as if nothing else matters but the moment in front of us. The Gospels tell a story of Jesus and his disciples in a storm. The wake him in a frantic state, and Christ arises Calm as can be. He speaks to the wind and the waves and the disciples stand amazed as their storm settles to gentle waves on the sea. I wonder if the disciples would have prayed to God and then spoke to the storm, would it have calmed? Thats a question I want to ask God when I see em. Truth is it wouldn't have hurt to try. Christ was there teacher, they his disciples, they could do what he did because he allowed them to.
I know this sounds nuts, but if you are going through a tough time right now, maybe a storm of life. God knows and is waiting and watching, as soon as you give him the go ahead to calm you, you will be able to weather the storm. I think thats more important. The miracle Christ reveled that day was his peace. He didn't fess fuss or cry, he just soon it will be over. Sometimes storms are in our control, sometimes not.
Anxiety is a major storm that can be under your control, Check this:
Psalm 94:9 When anxiety was great within me your consolation brought joy to my soul. Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, be in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, Present your request before God. The most important thing is to be before God. Prayer is very good to the soul, It connects us to Gods live and peace giving source. What ever keeps you from prayer find it and eliminate it, if it takes your confidence away from standing before God, Paul said remove it. It might be music, drinking, smoking or thoughts. After eliminating them you still might feel less confident, but the bible says God is bigger than our hearts. Meaning he makes promises and fulfills them, even if we don't "feel" like he will.
I love you,
Nick
